Watch: 'Stick to football' – Tom Brady leaves tour instructors speechless after glass-bottle mishap in Italy

Tom Brady recently found out that his quarterback skills were ineffective at successfully blowing glass. It’s an ancient method used by artisans to create gorgeous sculptures using malted glass as their base.

Fresh off witnessing the Hertz Racing team winning the FIA World Endurance Championship in Italy, Tom Brady enjoyed some serene time at a factory where master artisans created sculptures from glass in Murano. The retired NFL quarterback watched as experienced hands crafted vases and small trinkets by blowing glass.

After spending some time learning about the details and history of the work, Brady decided that he would try his hand at making a souvenir. One of the craftsmen held the blower in their hand as the 46-year-old used all the might of his lungs to blow air into the hot glass.

It took a few seconds until a shape could be seen forming. Brady thought his winner’s luck had kicked in. However, shortly after removing his lips from the blower pipe, the glass exploded into a million pieces. Rome wasn’t built in one day.
